If I’m Still Here had a point it was completely lost on me. There wasn’t even the whiff of the movie about “y’know, celebrity and the media” that filmmakers CASEY AFFLECK and JOAQUIN PHOENIX talked about on the film’s release. It’s just a hotch-potch “mocko” of self-destructive, egotistical and extremely privileged men behaving badly. I know what it was trying to say, but it was completely incoherent and, honestly, after about 20 minutes I didn’t really care.
